Emerging Artist Development Workshop

NoN Artist, ARREIS, Carving Out Space For Indie Talent with Battle of The Bands

Aug 13, 2024

Nashville ‘dark pop’ artist, ARREIS, has teamed up with Chicago promoter, Local Nation, to host the first of a new Battle of The Bands. The battle just concluded the 3 preliminary rounds hosted at legendary venue, The End, throughout June, July, and August. Now, the three winners are getting ready to battle it out at historic Exit/In on October 18th for the grand finale! Acts are judged by a panel of professionals consisting of sponsors as well as guest judges from the local community, including Lightning 100’s Christian Banks, who will act as the guest judge for the finale

The inspiration behind this battle came from ARREIS herself who stated that “Battle of the bands is all about revitalizing the indie music scene in Nashville! In a town full of writer's rounds, I wanted to find the rock stars.” The hope from the battle is that “every musician playing BOTB learns to value themselves, expects better promotion from venues and promoters, and has a fabulous show through this experience! Rock on!” The idea really came together when promoter of Chicago festival ‘Homegrown’, and long time friend, Aaron Williams of Local Nation, approached her with bringing the idea of Homegrown to Nashville. As a way to showcase the brand and build community, the Battle of the Bands was born.

Partnering with local businesses across Nashville, the grand prize consists of a limited edition merch run, development strategy help, audio and visual content, digital marketing consulting, press features, and a slot at a Local Nation Festival next year.

Be a part of the electrifying event when Nashville bands YearB4, All Poets & Heroes, and Virginia Louise take each other on at Exit/In on October 18th. With ARREIS also giving her debut performance at the venue, this is going to be a show you won’t want to miss.
