Evan Kreutz

Evan is the artist you want to stick around for. From his high energy performance to his larger than life personality, the NYC alternative rock artist knows how to entertain. Starting young, Evan knew he wanted to pursue music after a viewing of School of Rock left him obsessed with the performance and energy he saw on the screen. His dad had an old Stratocaster laying around the house and the rest is history. Evan’s first band was actually a family band with which he grew up performing across the east coast at legendary venues like The Stone Pony and acclaimed showcases such as at 6th Flags Great Adventure. An early adopter to social media, he gained a quick following on Vine and early attention from LA executives. Deciding to pursue a college education, he did continue to perform music socially, entertaining where he could to meet new people. But by junior year Evan was performing living room concerts almost weekly, amassing a cult following within his university campus and he knew he was onto something special that was worth chasing.

As a performer, Evan has the ability to make you dance, think, and scream, all at the same time. From joy, to sorrow, and even existential crisis, he will leave you feeling every emotion by the time his set is over, and you’ll have grooved the entire way through. His performances feel like a heart-to-heart, even when he’s cranking the volume up to eleven, creating an alluring and almost fantastical experience for the listener. It is a cocktail of emotion - equal parts soul-baring mixed with an NYC underground club.

Evan credits those early years, and his father most importantly, as major inspirations to his musical stylings now. A fan of classic rock, at the core he is making music “that [his] dad would like.” Other musical influences include James Blake and Bon Iver, particularly their use of space. He strives for complexity in his lyrics, like Panic! At The Disco, while keeping simplicity in the music, a la The Beatles. “The melodies are infectious and the honest lyrics make it easy to connect with” states Bored City after the release of 2024’s “Dandelion.” When Evan linked up with producer Douglas Grama in 2019, everything started to click into place. Together they have created something wonderfully nostalgic and increasingly modern.

“What a Hole” in 2022 was the first track that felt like a true “Evan Kreutz track” and became the debut single. He followed up with a string of successful singles, including 2023’s “Holes” which earned him the People’s Choice Award at the International Songwriters Competition. He rounded off 2024 with two highly anticipated singles “Save It For Later” and “Dandelion,” the latter of which Melodic Magazine called “More addictive the more one listens to it.” Since, Evan has garnered attention from international radio, signed with new management, and has recently been named the official artist for Jimmy John’s ‘Kickin’ Ranch’ campaign. Now, Evan is excited to be working on his debut EP project for 2025. With a little bit of Still Woozy, mixed with My Chemical Romance, the upcoming debut is sure to put Evan on the map. So buckle up, because with Evan, you’re not just listening to music, you’re going somewhere.
